Ozone – O3 is a new technology provided in Estonia by Ozone Technology OU, which helps to clean rooms, toilets, bars etc. from smell, bacteria and mold. The generator produce O3 air that kills mold and gives fresh air the same like after summer rain. It is a unique technology which is very easy to use and which is very effective without any discomfort.

Ozone (O3) or enriched oxygen is a powerful oxidizing gas that has been in use since the early 1800's. Ozone is sometimes referred to as "triatomic oxygen" since it contains three atoms of oxygen rather than two.

Ozone occurs quite readily in nature, most often as a result of lightning strikes that occur during thunderstorms. That "fresh, clean, spring-like rain" smell that we notice after a storm most often results from nature's creation of ozone. We are probably most familiar with ozone from reading about the "ozone layer" that circles the planet above the earth's atmosphere. Here the ozone is created by the sun's ultraviolet rays and then serves to protect us from the ultraviolet radiation. Ozone is produced commercially by the use of ultraviolet light and corona discharge.

It can also be produced by an electrical process in which a pair of electrodes is separated by air when the electrical potential builds up from a generator. Many ozone generators on the market today employ one if not both methods.

In relation to the property and casualty restoration industry, ozone gas generation is most utilized to remove odors in clothing caused by bacteria and smoke. In this case, an ozone room is used where all odorous clothing is hung on racks and exposed to ozone gas for 24-48 hours, depending on odor severity. The ozone generator is left outside of the room and a short connecting hose allows the ozone to flow into the room. Ozone is slightly heavier than air and will only stratify in very calm environments. The diffusivity of ozone allows it to spread readily throughout a room. It is advisable to place a small circulating fan in the room to help the gas to dissipate and penetrate well.

Although ozone is very powerful, it is very unstable and begins to decompose instantly. Its half life ranges from a few seconds to several hours. When ozone comes in contact with organic compounds or bacteria, the extra atom of oxygen destroys the contaminant by oxidation. Ozone decomposes to oxygen after being used so no harmful by products result.

Ozone will neutralize virtually all organic odors, specifically those that contain carbon as their base element. This will include all the bacteria and fungus groups as well as smoke, decay, and cooking odors.

The benefits of using ozone for restoration work are fantastic. Smoke odor molecules that infiltrate all porous surfaces can be permanently removed by ozone gas. Only ozone will work on the most stubborn of all odor molecules, that being protein. Odors associated with dead bodies, and other forms of decay, like freezer failure has long resisted normal chemical deodorizing attempts. Ozone again has the potency to neutralize even these contaminants.

Removes Odors

Too much party? Stale beer, alcohol and smoking smells? Eliminate odors easily with an ozone treatment.

Easily remove smoke and other odors from your rooms!

Smoke damage, caused by fires, or smokers, wet clothes or just a bad smell - what do you do to rid the rooms of the odor?

If you have had a small fire in you restaurant such as a cooking fire you know how hard it is to rid everything of the smoke smell. It seems to linger everywhere - even after you have cleaned everything. You have cleaned, cleaned some more and still you smell the lingering odor. So now, along with the smell of smoke you have chemical smells and paint fumes. Do you throw out everything? Do you replace everything? The very easy way to rid yourself of all of it is to run an ozone generator in each unoccupied room. No more muss and fuss. And best yet, no more odors.

Smoke damage caused by a smoker will include everything in the room — and everyone hates the stale smoke odor.

Have you ever opened the door and have the smell of stale smoke hit you in the face? Most hotels, bars and restaurants use special filters or heavy duty fans to suck out the smoke in their smoking sections, but they do not remove all of the odors. The ways to rid rooms of the smell are to wash everything down, prime and paint the room, clean the carpet, and/or redecorate.

Do you have a professional cleaner come in? Replace the furniture and carpet? How much time and money do you want to spend to remove those stale smoke smells? How many cans/bottles of air refresher, carpet refresher or Fabreeze will you use?

The Ozone treatment which we provide is PERFECT for eliminating smoke odors from hotel rooms or any other places.

Even the odor left behind by the worst smokers can be removed by running an ozone generator in each unoccupied room.

Many people develop allergies to the smoke smell and will complain if they get a whiff of it. You do not want to make it harder on yourself or your staff by having the smoke smell hanging around.

If you run a hotel, restaurant or bar, having customers complain or having expensive down time can be a real problem.

Using an ozone generator is a much cheaper and simpler way to remove smoke odors. You can even use it everyday to keep your place odor free and you will never open the door to stale smoke again.

Many dry cleaners are using ozone generators to remove smoke from clothing and soft furnishings. It is surprising to learn that many carpet cleaners are using them as well.

With the newer, stricter, no smoking laws many hotels, restaurants and bars will have to clean up the odors to please their customers. Most will use ozone generators to help them with the clean up.

Many already use them for removal of other odors such as vomit, stale beer, or perfumes from their rooms.

Safely Removing Mold

What about roof leaks and broken pipes that happen in everyday life? What happens to our homes, property and toilets?

The mold starts growing and doing even more damage.

The smell of growing mold is offensive enough, but add to that the danger of breathing in mold spores and you have a very real problem.

If left untreated, mold can flourish and spread until it completely engulfs the walls, floors and ceilings.

It will, over time, destroy building materials and can create major health concerns.

If you see or smell mold, you have MOLD!

The odor of mold indicates there are live mold spores floating in the air. These spores may be breathed in and cause respiratory illnesses and distress. Ozone helps purify the air by helping to kill the offending organisms such as mold spores.

Ozone treatment also helps kill mold spores on the surfaces of a home including the walls & framing.

Negative Ion Air Purification Systems will NOT help kill or remove mold spores.

Ionization may make the air smell fresher but is not an organism killing bactericide in the way that ozone is. Ozone is the best way truly remove mold odors, retard mold growth, and purify the air.

OZONE helps KILL MOLD and mold odors

It is a proven fact that ozone KILLS mold.

Black Mold is a greenish-black fungus found worldwide. It colonizes particularly well in high-cellulose material, such as straw, hay, wet leaves, dry wall, carpet, wall paper, fiber-board, ceiling tiles, and thermal insulation.

The fungus (mold), before drying, is wet and slightly slimy to touch. There are about 15 species of Stachybotrys, that can be found world-wide. This toxic mold grows in areas where the relative humidity is above 55%. Breathing in even dried mold of this kind causes many different types of respiratory problems.

Mold needs three things to grow: Moisture ,a nutrient, and a warm environment over 15 °C.

The nutrient might be wallboard, wood studs, or even dead dried mold itself.

This is why spraying mold with bleach is only a temporary solution.

Once the moisture and heat return the mold can begin growing again.

Ozone can kill mold on contact, even the loose spores you cannot see, in places you cannot see.

That's why it can be a much more complete cure than just using a bleach solution alone.

Mold infects carpeting, insulation, walls, even the wood and brick framing inside your home. When they grow uncontrolled, Molds can gradually destroy the surfaces they are on by rendering them unusable.

Mold infects these surfaces to such a degree as to make removal of the surface the only alternative.

Prevent damage to building materials and furnishings, save money, and avoid potential health risks by controlling moisture and preventing mold growth.

By use of an ozone remediation plan, mold growth can be controlled.

Removal of all visible mold, the disinfection of surfaces, and the reduction of moisture are the only way to combat a mold problem.

High ozone shock treatments can then help retard mold growth, and greatly reduce mold odors.

Ozone reduces the ability for the exposed mold, mildew and fungus to grow.

Ozone also helps purify the air and is claimed to help reduce respiratory distress by it's inherent purification process.

Ozone acts 3000 times faster than chlorine as a bactericide, and it is the strongest oxidant commercially available for air & water treatment.

One of the best features of ozone is its ability to control odors by helping to kill the offending organisms of mold and fungus.

Many people believe once the mold is dried and removed the danger is over. Dried mold particles can become airborne and can be breathed in from your basement through the ventilation system and from inside walls. Breathing in these very toxic particles can cause irreversible lung damage and even infect the body and cause death!

Ozone Treatment can help kill mold spores and retard their future growth.

 What is Ozone?

Ozone consists of three oxygen atoms and
is a gas found naturally in the air we breathe.
It works as nature’s own cleaning method to
keep air and water free of viruses, bacteria
and other harmful microorganisms.
Ozone eliminates contaminants during
the cleaning process, which deconstitutes it
into normal oxygen. In other words, ozone
results in no harmful byproducts.
Another, and in fact, more suitable, name
for ozone is active oxygen. When we, like
nature, create ozone through high voltage
discharges, we change the oxygen atoms in
the air into O3, in other words, ozone.
Or, as we prefer to call it: active oxygen.

Why use ozone?

Ozone (O3) consists of three oxygen atoms
and is a gas found naturally in the air we
breathe. It works as nature’s own cleaning
method to keep air and water free of viruses,
bacteria and other harmful microorganisms.
During the cleaning process, active oxygen
eliminates contaminants and is broken
down into normal oxygen (O2). In other
words, ozone does not leave behind any
chemical byproducts. Simple, effective and
environmentally friendly! The result is fresh,
clean air or water, for breathing or drinking.
Ozone is as easy to introduce to water as
it is to air, which means the cleaning process
becomes very effective, not to mention
advantageous in terms of cost savings.
– low investement and operational costs
– effective, flexible and quick cleaning
– no byproducts (ozone is broken down into
normal oxygen)
– harmless for use in living environments
such as for food storage

 To clean air!

Enclosed areas with poor ventilation or high
levels of microorganisms suffer from bad
odour problems. This includes everything
from refuse areas to bedrooms. Ozone is
antibacterial and not just effectively eliminates
bad odours, it also gets rid of the microorganisms
that cause them, such as mould,
bacteria and viruses. All this, without leaving
any byproducts at all!

To clean water!

Cleaning water with the use of ozone brings
many advantages compared to more
traditional methods, such as chlorine or UV
The main one is that ozone is most effective
at eliminating microorganisms such
as viruses and bacteria. Not only that, but
ozone actually prevents microorganisms from
Another advantage is that ozone works
with a very short reaction time, which means
it is even more flexible.
Speaking of flexibility, when ozone is
generated onsite, there is no need to handle
chemicals, thus eliminating their associated
transport costs. As well as the risks involved!
Ozone cleaning results in no harmful
byproducts. Even the ozone itself is broken
down into normal oxygen.
